ERU Team Trainers: the ERU Team Trainer(s) will conduct actual classroom and dynamic scenario training exercises, under the supervision of the Lead ERU Team Trainer. Duties will include the following:

1) Develop lesson plans and learning objectives consistent with the training course outline and curriculum established for the training regiment.

2) Conduct classroom, field and dynamic scenario training to ERU members.

3) Work with and mentor the LNP ERU team members in training, operational, and logistical functions.

4) Collaborate with UNMIL and LNP training staff to ensure the success of the training mission.

5) Such other duties as may be assigned by the Lead ERU Team Trainer and ERU Project Manager.
The ERU Team Trainer(s) shall report to the Lead ERU Team Trainer and ERU Project Manager and shall provide such periodic reports as determined by the Lead ERU Team Trainer and ERU Project Manager

    - Must be current or retired (i.e., retired from active service within the last 5 years) police officers with a minimum of 5 years police experience in a full-service law enforcement agency sufficient to meet the needs of the ERU training team contingent detailed below.
    - All officers must be proficient in written and spoken English and be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
    - They must also qualify on the following weapons proposed by the United Nations Mission to Liberia for the training of the ERU: Colt M4A1, Glock G17, Mossberg Model 500, Remington 870 MCS, and Teargas Launcher Heckler & Koch HK69A1, or similar models as proposed by the Contractor and approved by the Department of State/INL.
    - Prefer certification as a trainer in a discipline directly related to the curriculum needed to train and deploy a team of this nature
    - Must have previous experience as operational team member and/or team leader in a medium to large law enforcement agency in the United States with a municipal population of at least 100,000
    - Experience in a tactical operation unit such as SWAT preferred
    - must possess knowledge and experience in police tactical operations
    - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
    - Strong working knowledge of MS Word, and Outlook preferred
    - Must be willing to work in a fluid environment, under challenging circumstances.

  • Salary Information
    Entry Level Salary: $45,000   annual
